Youth hearing on summer jobs funding at City Hall
April 2, 2008
This afternoon at 4 p.m., the United Youth and Youth Workers of Boston will be testifying at the City Council Youth Affairs Committee Hearing. We will be making a presentation on how to end youth violence by investing in youth jobs, programs and street outreach.
As you may know, when the City cuts funding for youth, rates of violence escalate in our communities. It's time to put a stop to the tremendous numbers of young people dying. Come out to support our youth during this National Youth Violence Prevention Week. See the recent Globe article about work being done across the state.
