Bus 23 and 66 (Dorchester to Longwood)

Hospital Employee -- I used to live in Jamaica Plain off Centre Street where I used the 39 to get me to my job. The bus roared by every five minutes during rush hour and is nearly twice the size of the ones I have to use today. Now I'm in Dorchester and I rely on the 23 and the 66. I can't stand my commute.

I am constantly wondering if my bus will come on time and if I will miss my connection at Dudley Sq. The buses are supposed to come by at least every ten minutes but that is rarely the case. As a result I leave at least fifteen to twenty minutes early to make sure I get to work on time. The MBTA should be honest with its customers and publish schedules they can stick to.

I'm tired of this poor service and wonder what it will take for our community to get the quality of service more white, affluent communities get. It may be the first public transit system in the country, but the service they provide is just second class.

Moving
