New Report: Poorer Areas Have More Environmental Hazards (October 2005)

Hurricane Katrina may have put the spotlight on environmental injustice on the Gulf Coast, but a new report demonstrates that profound environmental injustices also exist in Massachusetts. Of the 30 most environmentally overburdened communities in Massachusetts, 24 are communities of color. The top 30 list includes all of Boston's neighborhoods except one.
