We are excited to invite you to the second annual New England Environmental Justice Summit on Saturday, July 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Clark University’s Traina Center, 92 Downing Street in Worcester. This event is free and includes lunch with vegan and gluten-free options, as well as childcare. ACE will be providing a bus to and from Clark University.
We’re looking forward to connecting, sharing, collaborating and having fun with folks from New England.
Following introductions and registration, the event will kick-off with an interactive panel addressing the question: What is environmental justice and what does it look like when we achieve it? After this we will divide into three breakout groups:
1. Building a multigenerational campaign: Examples of food justice
2. Creating resilient communities in the face of a changing climate
3. Sharing lessons learned from community organizing.
Lunch will follow. We’ll close with next steps like how to stay connected, strengthening networks, our group goals and how to pass EJ legislation in our respective states. We hope you can join us!
