On Saturday, September 27, Massachusetts Green Jobs Coalition and nationwide partners in the Green Jobs Now! Coalition are launching a mobilization to say, "I'm ready for the green economy." We are ready to tackle the climate crisis by building a green economy strong enough to lift people out of poverty.

Green Jobs Now! is a National Day of Action that will empower everyday people to stage hundreds of grassroots events throughout the country. The day will have a special focus on low-income communities, communities of color and indigenous people. This will send a message to our leaders that, when it comes to creating green jobs for a more sustainable economy, PEOPLE ARE READY!

Festivities will begin on the steps of Cambridge City Hall at 10:30 am- noon, and on the Boston Common, they will begin at 3-5 pm, followed by a Celebration until 7pm.

At both locations there will be an array of dynamic community leaders, elected officials, guest speakers, fun local music, BioTour's Vegetable Oil Powered Bus, and other entertainment.
