Consider that between 1980 and 2005, the foreign born black population more than tripled, Haitians quadrupled and Ethiopians increased 13 times. The documentary has been presented at more than 50 locations nationwide and has been discussed on CNN, BBC and several other outlets.

Join the CPA for a 17-mile bike-a-thon along the harborwalk! Water will be available at checkpoints throughout the bike route, and a picnic lunch will be provided in Boston Common starting at noon. Proceeds will go to the Chinese Youth Initiative; each rider is asked to raise at least $20.

The Roxbury Strategic Master Planning Oversight Committee working session is scheduled for Monday, May 24, at the Central Boston Elders Services, at 2315 Washington Street, in Roxbury. The oversight committee will discuss the draft RFP for Parcels 9 & 10, and recommend language on local and residents jobs. The agenda also includes update on the Whittier Street Health Center and Ruggles Place projects.
