The Boston Public Health Commission in concert with the Morton Norfolk VIP coalition* will be hosting a violence prevention writing workshop for teens during April vacation week. Participants will have a chance to look at the issue of youth violence from various angles through dialoging with guest speakers who are actively engaged in creating peace. There will also be a chance to discuss the positive and negative impact of media with journalists. The goal of the workshop is to teach young people the fundamentals of journalism, so all articles or creative pieces produce during the workshop will be printed in the Mattapan Reporter. If you know of any teen writers please inform them of this free opportunity.
