The Chelsea Collaborative’s R.I.O.T (Ready Individuals Organizing Teens ) Squad will be hosting a Youth Summit for the Summer Youth Employment Initiative (SYEI). The SYEI is a Chelsea Collaborative Project that provides summer jobs to approximately 275 youth from the City of Chelsea. The day consist of keynote speakers, workshops, and entertainment.

Join the Roxbury Environmental Empowerment Project (REEP) at Youth Space: Discussion on Gender, Relationships, and Media, as part of the Radical Organizing Conference (ROC) Summer Institute. This workshop is for youth and will cover dating violence and healthy relationships. Attendees will also take a critical look at attitudes in the media, putting our relationships in a social justice framework.

REEP will host our twelfth annual Environmental Justice Youth Summit. The theme of this year's Summit is Resolution for Conflict and Drama: In the Heart of the City. This year, participants will be addressing issues facing youth such as violence, money, stereotypes, teen relationships, green jobs, and community issues. This is a chance for youth to come and get involved in the youth movement, socialize, and enjoy themselves.

Come out to take back the streets from violence on the 25th annual National Night Out. This year's theme is "Meet Your Neighbors", and community groups and local resources, as well as food, music and entertainment will be out in force to celebrate.

As the boss squeezes us to do more and more work for little pay, it has become hard to imagine a world where we can work less, yet have a comfortable life to enjoy ourselves. This two-part training will focus on the skills of agitation, sharing personal stories as a way of motivating others, and pushing folks to stand up. The skills explored in this training are not only applicable to building a union, but they can also be used in fighting for justice everyday in your work place. We will also explore the labor movement as a powerful agent for social change. Please participate in both days.
