Building Communities: Healthy, Livable, Equitable Density

10/25/2008 - 9:00am
10/25/2008 - 2:00pm

Action for Regional Equity, a coalition of which ACE is a member, creates strategies to impact state policies around transit justice, environmental justice and affordable housing justice in Massachusetts. The five hour workshop will focus on the challenges and advantages of building new dense and affordable developments in your neighborhood.

Density is a term used to talk about the number of housing units in a given area. This workshop seeks to provide an open discussion forum for communities to explore how the built environment plays a role in equity, affordability, a sense of place and the experience of a community. It is a forum for neighbors and advocates to discuss and share ideas with one another.
