COMMUNITY LABOR UNITED (CLU) PUBLIC PRESS CONFERENCE
ANNOUNCES HEARING ORDER ON CORPORATE ACCOUNTABILITY

Monday, November 24
4:00 p.m.
Boston City Hall, Piemonte Room

A press conference will be held at Boston City Hall to announce a public hearing on the need for greater corporate responsibility and investment for Boston workers and their communities.

The City of Boston is now ranked third for having the most
unequal income distribution among the nation's 25 largest cities. In
addition, 1 out of every 3 children is living in extreme poverty and
the average CEO salary equals 866 times as much as a minimum wage worker. And while an estimated 20,000 more homes will foreclose in the Commonwealth in the next year leading to more than 30,000 more forced evictions of working families and their children, a $700 billion rescue package for the rich is being debated in Congress.
