Critical Breakdown is a youth-run non- profit organization dedicated to ending the violence in inner-city neighborhoods through socially conscious art and education. Critical Breakdown provides safe and nurturing opportunities for people of all ages to think critically, express themselves creatively and develop artistically in order to heal and strengthen our communities. Critical Breakdown creates an outlet for people affected by the violence in our communities. We were founded in August 2000 by a group of passionate youth and have since fundraised to build a forum for people of all ages to deliver messages of peace through positive creativity to the community.We have educated thousands of youth and adults through holding open-mic events, fundraisers, and workshops.
