ACTION ALERT - JIM BROOKS COMMUNITY STABILIZATION ACT
THE MOMENT IS FINALLY HERE - ALL OUT for the VOTE

City Council Vote – Wednesday 10/4 – 11:30am
We've been fighting to pass this legislation for over 2 years!
The legislation solves 2 key problems on the road to
stopping displacement - 1) it enables the City of Boston to
track displacement (which it's not doing now) and 2) it
ensures that tenants know their rights (under existing state
law) and resources (which few know about now).

Find out more at justcauseboston.org. It is now named after our late
former colleague and warrior for justice, Jim Brooks.

The act is based on an ordinance developed by the Right to Remain
Coalition. It is supported by a comprehensive network of non-profit
organizations including labor, neighborhood groups, and community
development corporations. Tenants and Home-owners are being
displaced all over the city.

How can I help? CALL YOUR CITY COUNCILORS (your district
councilor plus the at-large councilors) prior to the hearing and tell them
to vote YES on the Jim Brooks Act! Find your councilor's number HERE
